SCALE 23x and PlanetNix

December 10, 2025

Hey everyone!

The 23rd Southern California Linux Expo (SCALE 23x) is going to be in Pasadena, CA March 5–8, 2026!

It will also be the home of PlanetNix, co-located at SCALE happening March 5th-6th. Be sure to add PlanetNix to your registration when you sign up for extra Nix goodness.

Use the code NIXUG to get 50% off!

Come on by and meet up with your fellow Nix and Linux enthusiasts. It's a great place to learn, teach, and show off what you're working on.

We look forward to seeing you there!

In the meantime, keep up with us on Matrix to chat with us between SNUG events.

What is SCALE?

SCALE is North America's largest community-run open-source conference, running since 2002. It's a great way for those interested in Linux and FOSS to gather and talk about the latest news. Topics range from open-source infrastructure and kernel developments to desktop software demos like GIMP or Kdenlive.

Who should go?

Anyone can join! It's a wonderful environment, especially for new Linux users. You'll learn a ton and discover new things about the ever-changing scene.

What if I'm a BSD user?

Come anyway! We'll talk about the kernel together :^)
